you are 8 months old (well... will be in a week)
- you are getting so big! really growing and changing
- your personality is starting to show. you are sweet and pretty laid back
- you are tough! you have to be tough, you get tackled on a daily basis and trampled on and tripped over. it takes a lot to make you cry (like a pretty big bump), most of the time you take it in stride
- you are crawling! so hard to believe. you go between an army crawl and an all out, tummy off the ground, sprint across the floor
- you have the brightest eyes and your nose crinkles up when you smile, you gasp when you laugh and i.love.it
- you are constantly tracking your brother and your dad... you love them to pieces and can't wait to be on their heels (but secretly... i think you are a bit of a mama's boy... and it makes my ♥ happy
- you eat really well... you love most things (except peas, but who can blame you... they are gross!) and get super excited at the sight of puffs or anything you can do by.your.self
- you are especially smiley and we love you to pieces... can't wait to see how you change over the next few months!
@ 5 months old
- 16 pounds, 3 ounces
- you are all smiles! i longed for your smile the first couple months of your life... now you give it freely and without warning. you love to smile, coo, and giggle at anyone who will listen. you are h.a.p.p.y. most of the time. we love that about you. you are a breath of fresh air when i'm just a little stressed!
- you have been sleeping well. you are usually only up (at the most) one time during that night. it's so nice to let you mommy sleep some... thank you!
- you think the world of your big brother jace and let him know that by watching his every move. he loves to show off for you... and you are his biggest fan!
- you love your brown polka-dot blankie, and your blue elephant... and have just decided that you no longer like your pacifier.
- you are sooo close to sitting up by yourself. you slouch over just a bit too much and lose your balance. we are practicing so that you are ready for your 6 month pictures!
- you roll over constantly and even some in your sleep. nammy has always thought you liked sleeping on your tummy best... i think she may be right!
- you are a mama's boy so far. which is nice. i missed a lot of cuddle time when jace was this age... i'm cherishing all the morning chats, and afternoon rocking, that we get to share.
- you have a sweet complexion, bright blue eyes, and light blonde hair (even though there isn't much yet). we aren't sure who you look like yet... but you are definitely adorable!
- you started cereal this week. you l.o.v.e. it! you can't wait for the next spoonful. i think we are going to be ready for food soon, you are very interested!
